OK, so stealing a headline from AVPM is probably a bad way to start anything new, but hey, if you’re gonna provide me with an existing headline that says ‘Hello world!’, I’m going to fill in the blank with a Voldemort line.
How are we all? Sitting comfortably? Everyone got a cup of tea? (or coffee, I’m not beveridgist).
The pre-existing ‘first blog post’ that appeared on my profile when I set this up says I should take some time to explain what this blog is all about, introduce myself. Except if it’d only just been set up, it had no followers. Who did they think was going to read this rambling glimpse into my inner psyche?
Snowmen. Snowmen read everything.
Well Snowmen… I don’t know what to tell you. I set this up because I was feeling inspired to write. Writing about nonsense, writing about people, spewing my feelings about the book I just read onto the page so I don’t scare people in real life. I read a lot, I have a lot of thoughts about the books I read, I thought a book review blog would be a good idea. And it is, I actually enjoy sitting down once a week and writing about what I’ve been reading. It’s almost therapeutic. I try to be as un-spoiler-y as possible, sometimes that is just not achievable, but I’ll always warn you and I hope you enjoy what I have to say, or at least it inspires you to pick up a book too =].
Since I can’t think of anything else to say, I’ll just leave you with a question that’s been bothering me for a while:
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets how did Hermione get away with turning herself into a cat? Even in a magical school that can’t happen too often, surely when she went up to the hospital wing (and was made to stay there for a week) Madam Pomfrey or SOMEONE asked her how it happened? Since brewing Polyjuice Potion was ‘breaking about a hundred school rules‘ I’m guessing she lied to them.
Book reviews posted most Sundays, everything else is as and when. =]
